Usage and Maintenance Notes
- Do Not Mix: Avoid mixing with other oils to prevent chemical reactions and performance loss.
- Storage: Seal containers after use; prevent contamination from water or dust.
- Compatibility Test: Conduct compatibility tests with rubber, plastics, and paints before use.
- Oil Replacement (Reciprocating Piston Compressors):
Drain old oil while warm, clean or replace filters, flush crankcase.
Add new oil of the same viscosity grade. Clean cylinder valves, air passages, condensers, and separators of carbon deposits.
During initial operation, frequently monitor and replace running-in oil after 150–250 hours.
Compressor Lubrication Guidelines
- Reciprocating Compressors:
Internal lubrication for cylinder, seals, and anti-rust; oil exits with gas without circulation.
External lubrication for moving parts and cooling.
- Rotary Compressors:
Dry type: lubricates only bearings and gears.
Oil-injected: oil injected into compression chamber, separated and recirculated; requires special rotary compressor oil.
